OUR PHILOSOPHY
It is our philosophy that each and every animal under our care is unique and special. That's why we deal with just one pet at a time in order to give all of our attention, time, and TLC to just your animal. Quite simply, that's also why we stand out as Southern California's leading pet sitting and dog walking service!

WE'RE ECO-FRIENDLY
Big Sky Dogs is one of the few, if not the only, pet care service companies in Southern California that offer completely paper-less billing, paper-less invoicing, and paper-less scheduling! We also do not engage in the practice of driving packs of dogs around only to be dropped off at unruly dog parks. Not only can that create a potential for an unsafe, uncontrolled, and unsanitary environment for dogs, it also puts more cars on the road and more exhaust in the air! Big Sky Dogs is truly Eco-Friendly!

REGISTERING AS A NEW CLIENT

CURRENT CLIENTS ONLINE SCHEDULING
One of the many benefits of becoming a Big Sky Dogs client is to be able to access your dog walking and/or pet sitting appointments any time you like. Thinking of going on a trip? CONTINUITY OF SERVICE
We prefer to have the continuity of the same sitter assigned to your pets and will do everything we can to make that happen for you. However, if your primary Big Sky Dogs sitter and/or walker is unavailable then a substitute team member will be assigned at the discretion of the Big Sky Dogs office. Once you become a client of Big Sky Dogs you receive the peace of mind knowing you have hired a professional service that is able to offer consistent and reliable pet care when ever you need it! Quite simply, this is something an independent dog walker cannot assure.

HOLIDAYS
We pet sit 365 days of the year! We do not, however, provide our mid-week dog walks on the following major holidays: New Year's Day, Birthday of Martin Luther King, Jr., President's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day. We charge an additional fee of $10.00 per visit on all major national holidays. Please note that this is not a flat fee of $10.00. This is a way for us to reward the sitters who are giving of their holiday time to work with Big Sky Dogs.

CREDIT CARD BILLING
We accept Visa, MasterCard, AMEX, and Discover. Sorry, we do not accept checks.

RATES
Please check our our services & rates page for details. Though pet care can become costly, Big Sky Dogs takes pride in the fact that we offer something quite special. Sure, you can hire a neighbor to look after your home and pets, but are they bonded and insured? Probably not. Doggie Day Care/Boarding can be an appropriate choice, but it's also a more costly and impersonal pet care option. Studies have proven that pets relax and thrive in their own home environments. Not only does using Big Sky Dogs allow for that freedom and relaxation, but also we do the little things that can mean so much. We pick up your mail, newspaper, water your plants, can administer medication to your pets, and spend one-on-one quality time with your pet at no additional cost! As an added benefit, just your pet sitter's recurring presence at your home provides for heightened security and peace of mind.

GRATUITIES
Our sitters and walkers may accept gratuities. You may leave a gratuity for the sitter at your home or you may call the Big Sky Dogs office to have the gratuity added to your pet sitting bill if you'd like.

Pet Safety / Health Considerations

INSURED, LICENSED & BONDED
Your pet's safety and well-being is paramount to us at Big Sky Dogs.  All of the Big Sky Dogs sitters are insured and bonded through Big Sky Dogs Pet Sitting and Dog Walking Service.

UNIQUE SECURITY PROGRAM
Big Sky Dogs offers a unique security program that most dog walking and pet sitting companies do not, and can not, offer. Our confidential and secure system prevents the potential key loss and/or key theft as well as provides you with greater peace of mind. When you call to set up your dog walking or pet sitting appointment just ask about our home security program that allows YOU to be in control of your key at all times.

MEDICATIONS
As long as your animals do not pose a threat to the sitter, we are happy to administer medication to your pet. However, all pet owners are responsible for providing detailed instructions for any and all medication to be administered to their pet(s) by including this information within their online profile.
